For me, that's the Northwoods of Wisconsin. While growing up, my family spent countless vacations among the towering pines, sparkling lakes, and charming small towns of the Northwoods, and those memories have stayed with me. It's a place that has always felt like a second home, and one I still return to whenever I can. Since my sister and her family live there, it’s perfect!

When it came time to write my first cozy mystery series, there was never any question where it would be set...

Welcome to Covington—a fictional town inspired by the beauty, charm, and close-knit communities that made me fall in love with the Northwoods.

At the heart of the series is Cooper's Cove Resort, Emmy Cooper's family-owned lakeside retreat. It's the kind of place where mornings begin with coffee on the dock, afternoons are spent making memories on the lake, and evenings end around a crackling campfire beneath a sky full of stars. Friends become family, neighbors always lend a hand, and every visit feels like coming home... Of course, there is the possibility someone could stumble over a body before checkout.

Thankfully, Emmy Cooper, her friends, and one handsome police officer are always ready to solve the mystery—with plenty of laughs, heart, and Covington's small-town shenanigans along the way.
